About the Sarrusophone
Invented by Pierre-Louis Gautrot to compete with the saxophone. A double-reed instrument made of brass. Six sizes from soprano to contrabass. The contrabass sarrusophone replaced the contrabassoon in some bands. Over 150 years of history. Rarely seen today outside museums.
