About the Viola dAmore
The viola of love. Seven playing strings plus seven sympathetic strings. The flame-shaped sound holes are distinctive. No frets on the fingerboard. The tuning is scordatura, retuned for each piece. The luminous tone comes from the resonating sympathetic strings.
