About the Ondes Martenot
Invented by Maurice Martenot. One of the earliest electronic instruments. Played with a keyboard and a sliding ring controller. The expressive vibrato is unique. Used by Messiaen in his Turangalila Symphony. Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead is a prominent player. The eerie tone influenced film scores.
