About the Roland TR-808
The drum machine that built hip-hop. The booming kick drum is heard on thousands of records. Afrika Bambaataa used it on Planet Rock. Marvin Gaye used it on Sexual Healing. Kanye West named an album after it. The analog circuitry creates warm unique sounds. Only 12,000 units made, now worth over 5,000 dollars each.
